Today's theme is EXTREME SHOES!

Perhaps some of you are reminiscing on the extremist shoes you fondly remember your favourite celebrities wearing, or even your own shoes that have garnered many a confused stare. Whatever the case, today I'm showcasing the wildest shoes I can remember from the past few years - and bringing them to you! So while the last "Celeb Stalks" were meant to inspire and give you new ideas of how to wear clothes, this one is only meant for frivolity and fun! But if you are inspired to try these styles at home, by all means, go ahead! Just don't forget to take a picture :)

How could this begin without Victoria Beckham's Antonio Berardi black patent, heel-less, 

                    floating

almost waist-high,                 heels? 

Misha Barton's flair for interesting style lands her on this edition of "Celeb Stalk" twice - in this picture, for her p..er...for..at...ed shell-looking Dior heels, that might not be out of place in the next "Pirates of the Caribbean".

Beyonce really is the master of extreme shoes - these rainbow-hued, lego-inspired Balenciaga heels aren't even her craziest. She's been seen wearing everything from jewel-encrusted-back Toni Maticevski heels to 5ive-inch YSL Tribute DDoouubbllee Platform heels (on cobble-stone streets no less!)

Remember those misplaced-heel Marc Jacobs shoes? Well the fact that even good-girl Michelle Trachtenberg was seen wearing them (on more than one occasion) is a reminder that even the most absurd styles can catch on. 

Kim Kardashian is clearly trying to amp-up her relatively non-existent high fashion image by wearing (frequently) these black patent Margiela cut-out heel-boots. 

Prada's whimsical, faerie-inspired show a few seasons ago was all about the airy-ness of spring and it's mystical creatures. But these shoes worn by Angie Harmon are anything but dainty - who knew tulips could look so hardcore?

I'm a big fan of Rihanna's extravagant style, and although they've received a lot of criticism, I especially like these crazy Balenciaga sandal-boots. They even make her relatively normal outfit seem ~dressier~ and wilder.

If you haven't seen these wild Yves Saint Laurent [cage heels] (or at least a version of them) then I'm not sure what you're doing on this site! Becki Newton's are the [cu   t-ou   t version], whereas Beyonce has been photographed wearing the [[completely-caged]] mini-boot version. They really are the shoe of the season. 

Ashley Olsen (and her sister Mary-Kate) are no strangers to the avant-garde shoe world, but these black Azzedine Alaia gladiator sandals are fabulously extreme. It's got all the elements: c   ut-o  ut   s, over-the-calf, patent... I can see why Ashley's a fan!

Mischa Barton was just one of the many celebrities to don these extremist Louis Vuitton tribal sandals. They've been seen on everyone from one of my favourites, Alexa Chung, to Kanye West's girlfriend Amber Rose. No pair is alike, so when you search for them, you're sure to find a plethora of celebs wearing similar, but not exactly the same, extravagant heels.

Today's theme is HIGH-WAISTS!

Yes, I know a lot of you may be cowering in fear or conjuring up images in your mind of "Mom Jeans" and F.U.P.A.'s, but that's not with this post is gonna be about! This is about finding a flattering way to wear this style through pants, skirts, and even shorts. If you know how to wear them without looking like you just gained 15 pounds in your midsection, high-waisted styles can elongate, flatter, and give you an new, interesting way to style your clothes. So hang on in there :)

The greatest high-waisted styles can be found in your favourite movies - in this case, Atonement. Keira Knightley is perfection in this high-waisted style, as it juxtaposes the thick fabric of the skirt (for built-in structure) with the soft, airy-ness of the blouse. Also notice that the two items are similar, pale colours.

Full skirts, like the bright-blue one seen above on Rachel Bilson, are the most flattering high-waisted items because they cinch in at the smallest part and then flow out at what is usually the most unflattering part, to create the illusion of a smaller size without the constriction of a fitted skirt. This is best for warm spring and summer months, cause you can just throw it on and be done with it!

Again, Keira and her high-waisted clothing. A reference to nautical wear, her navy sailor pants paired with the classic yachting striped shirt is refined and easy. Because the pants are baggy, they need to be paired with a fitted top for an appropriate contrast. For extra length, try simple black pumps in place of the black patent flats.

Kate Lanphear is an expert in tailored menswear mixed with loose women's wear. The grey blazer, besides being extraordinary on its own, is a complement to the black, thick-p/l/e/a/t/e/d, high-waisted pants and soft white t-shirt. The genius accessorizing is also worth noting.

Church-going style just got turned up a notch - Taylor Swift wore her crisp, white, collared shirt with an equally crisp, floral, p/l/e/a/t/e/d skirt. I'm not very religious myself, but if someone bribed me to go to their sunday services, this is a great way to show style without upsetting the stodgy parishioners. 

New to this style? Stick with the basics - white, black, flats, t-shirt - and you'll be loving it in no time. Sometimes simple is better...

Ahhh Keira... again, you've captured the high-waisted style to a tee. Miss Knightley, the same height and body type as myself (the sometimes unfortunate long torso, shorter legs combo), creates the illusion of mile long legs with this fitted, black pencil skirt. Again, not wanting an all-over tight outfit, she pairs it with a looser top, tucked-in at the smallest part of the waist, for a completely thin, long, statuesque outfit. Hey, Sienna's not looking too bad either!

Again, Kate Lanphear knows what she's doing when she gets dressed in the morning - but makes it look effortless. The high-waisted black pants are not particularly form fitting, but more business suit-like, and contrasts perfectly with the basic grey tee and black Wayfarers. Also, note the shoes - heels will greatly assist in that elongation when you're first trying out this style, so you're not too wary of experimenting. 

Lauren Santo-Domingo (right) wearing a crisp, off-white pencil skirt with a sheer top in a matching colour, draws attention to the outfit by leaving the HEAVY jewelry at home, and opting instead for a minimal beige clutch. Because the outfit in monotone, it extends the line and doesn't break up the pieces, which is often the reason for high-waisted clothes looking iLl-fittIng. 

High-waisted shorts done right! Zooey Deschanel, besides being absolutely adorable, is also a style star in her own right. Denim shorts don't always look good on everyone, but they especially don't when they're yanked up to who-knows-where. Zooey keeps this look dressy but casual by wearing her not-so-incredibly-high black shorts with lengthening opaque black tights, black heels, and a lovely ruffled, cream-coloured blouse. This black and white outfit is anything but basic. 

... and if this high-waisted styles are good enough for the queen of fashion, editor-in-chief of French Vogue Carine Roitfeld, than why shouldn't you try them out?

Today's theme is BLAZERS!

More than a cashmere wrap or fur stole, blazers are the new night cover-up. But also unlike the wrap or fur, blazers can transition equally from late-night parties to work or even just a regular shopping day. Casual, chic, and ageless, a blazer is also a truly unisex item (meaning you can always borrow one from a brother or boyfriend). And it's not just the fashion world that's going crazy for them - celebrities have gone ga-ga for this collegiate staple as well (not meant to hint towards Lady GaGa)!

Featured on WhoWhatWearDaily. I love Gwyneth's outfit - a combination between summer-style gold gladiators and fall-style black jeans and of course, the blazer. 
Kate Moss is one of my personal style icons, and she hasn't failed me yet! This blazer's satin lapels are similar to a mens-style tuxedo and is a nice contrast to the other matte black pieces. The serious all black is the perfect backdrop to showcase the playful dress from her eponymous Topshop line.
The short sleeves on Lou Doillon blazer is a nice twist on the usual long sleeves. It's

u n b u t t o n e d, but you can see that it's double-breasted, which is also another nice twist. She wears it with a simple white tank-top and unkempt hair, which immediately tones down the fanciness of the ensemble (or dresses up the casualness, whichever way you look at it)
Always on my fashion radar is Keira Knightley, who always delivers a great outfit. The colour combination is superb, and the booties add an edge to the classicality of the tucked-in white top (with a genius black ribbon tie) and navy blazer. The green 3.1 Phillip Lim skirt lends a playfulness as well.
Blazers are a must-have for any real-life Gossip Girl. This one worn by Blair (Leighton Meester) has been my favourite throughout the show. It almost makes me want a uniform, just so I can breakout this little ribbon-trimmed, crest emblazoned number!
As Rachel Bilson shows, a blazer doesn't always have to be black - sequins jazz-up the simple grey jeans and white t-shirt, and a bright-yellow oversized clutch is never a bad accessory. 
There's nothing I don't LOVE about Sienna Miller's outfit. First off, the shoes. These red, studded Chloe booties are my #1 most coveted item - and I still don't have them! I'm almost seething with envy (in a good way, I'm not that crazy!) Second, the blouse. White, billowy, ethereal, and perfection when worn under... third, the cropped blazer, with another big trend this season, big shoulders a la Balmain. 
You may not know who this is, but Lauren Santo-Domingo, a contributor at Vogue and low-key socialite, is always dressed to perfection. The giant lapels on this black blazer are amazing, and I love how it hits at the same point as the skirted outfit underneath. 
Again, Keira Knightley knows how to wear a blazer. And again, creates a contrast between feminine and masculine, with a blue satin floral Phillip Lim dress set against a crisp navy blazer and worn-in tan leather bag.

Another blazer-maker extraordinaire is Alexander Wang, whom Emily Mortimer wears to perfection. An all-black backdrop makes the pink blazer pop, and is an interesting colour for a double-breasted blazer (which, like Lauren Santo-Domingo's outfit, falls at about the same height as her mini-dress).

Today's theme is QUILTED BAGS!

We all know and love the classic 2.55 Chanel Purse and/or Marc Jacob's "Stam" bag, but here are a few other less popular bags that you may not have noticed, but might like just as much. These celebs have already fallen in love with theirs!

1.) Again, beginning with Keira Knightley, who wore head-to-toe Chanel, including a black Chanel purse, to the Chanel Couture show. Seen here with Karl Lagerfeld, Keira sure looks happy to be one of the designer's muses - the perks are good!

2.) Marion Cotillard, often staying off the fashion radar until awards season, looked elegantly french (as only the french can) at the Dior show in Paris. Unlike the oversized totes we're so used to seeing around L.A., the tiny black Dior purse is a nice change of pace. 

3.) Accompanied by an unknown companion, Nicky Hilton dresses up her casual black, grey and white outfit with (what else?) a quilted Chanel purse. 

4.) Judging by the trio of pictures, Rachel Bilson: 

a.) Loves her black and tan Chanel purse

b.) Has used this bag at least 3 times

c.) All of the above!

5.) While other new mothers are out running errands in orthopedic sneakers and oversized t-shirts, Nicole Richie sticks to her celebrity roots and chooses instead to accessorize her black and white striped tee with black skinny jeans and a black quilted bag. 

6.) Mischa Barton accessorized her peculiar, slightly over-styled outfit with a shining beacon of hope: a black patent-leather Lady Dior handbag.

7.) If it weren't for the bright-pink, quilted designer bag and slew of papparazzi following her journey through customs, Sienna Miller would've blended right in at the airport!

A new recurring post! "Celeb Stalk" uncovers celebrity looks that inspire and provoke personal styling ideas. Sometimes I'll have a certain theme and show outfits specifically relating to that theme. But other times, I'm just going to show looks that I like, and that I think all of you will like as well and will be inspired by. Happy stalking!

Todays theme is RED accessories! 

1.) Keira Knightley adds interest to her look by pairing her black, grey and white outfit with a bright red shoulder bag while out and about, shopping with her mother. 

2.) Kate Bosworth matches her red studded Chloe boots with her rolling luggage for an airport-chic style.

3.) Vanessa Hudgens livens up her casual outfit with a red patent leather bag and fringed red scarf while out on a coffee run.

4.) Kate Moss adds a bright red scarf to her leather and studs to soften the harshness of her primarily black outfit.

5.) Agyness Deyn, always the ham, shows off her sky-high red Alejandro Ingelmo heels paired with her black satin tux at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards.
