    Enviable... Rachel Bilson

These are the three reasons to be supremely jealous of Rachel Bilson:

1.) How often do you find an actress who's both well-established, talented, and completely grounded despite her celebrity? Rachel's one of those celebrities that you wouldn't accidentally bump into at a premiere afterparty, but would be most likely to grab a bite to eat with you and have a great chat about the recently debuted Derek Lam collection or her EdieRose line for DKNY Jeans (which, if you haven't checked it out already, is quite nice).

2.) Rachel doesn't just chat about fashion - she IS fashion. She may not be a well-known trendsetter like Anne Hathaway or Reese Witherspoon, but she has a devoted cult following (myself included!) and is equally as adorable. Not that envious yet? This might drive it home:

3.) She just got engaged to Hayden frickin' Christensen. Luckiest girl on earth? I think so!

Congratulations Rachel - we officially envy you :)

    Big Love

Alexander McQueen for Target is coming about a week from today - I hope you're all prepared! I've been rummaging around different sites to try and find the best pictures of the upcoming collection - some pieces are pretty brilliant and I can't WAIT!

And here..we...GO - The Joker, The Dark Knight ;)

    My favourite looks:
    Look 3 - I need that jacket.
Look 8 - I need that vest. And that dress is also gonna be in my closet come opening day of the collection.
Look 9 - Fantastically versatile - there are so many occasions coming up that I'm planning to wear this to!

    Photo(s) of the Week

First two pictures: The Sartorialist/Style.com; Last picture: Style.com

1.) An eclectic mixture of textures and layers brings life to this rainy-day ensemble.
2.) Capes are all the rage this fashion week - get ahead of the trend!
3.) Usually these Herve Leger bondage dresses can look inappropriate and cheap - but this outfit is exactly the opposite. The muted colour palette and opaque tights elongate. Dasha Zhukova as elegant as ever.

    Item(s) of the Week

    Sorry I haven't been posting in a while :/

I'm still loving J.Crew's jewelry collection - it's all unique and beautiful, but I'm especially loving these three items:

All available at jcrew.com or in certain J.Crew stores.

1.) Scattered-Boule Necklace (in Gold) - $45: By adding this to an simple casual outfit, you can elevate your look without having to go all-out. It's casual but elegant flair makes it versatile - try it with a simple patterned shift dress for a garden party or pair it with a thick-knit wool cardigan over a checkered button-up.

2.) Primrose Garden Bracelet (in Natural) - $40-$65: A very girly item, which can add a soft feminine flair to an outfit. I suggest wearing this with a light, billowy blouse under a menswear-style vest and cigarette jeans or J.Crew's Cafe Capri Pants (in Black) - $80. Medium-height heels will help lengthen your leg, creating an overall lean silhouette.

3.) Jeweled Palm-Leaf Necklace (in Metallic Rose) - $175: Certainly a pricey piece, but an investment nonetheless. For a less vibrant but equally playful piece at a lower price, try J.Crew's Double-Strand Elephant Necklace (in Light Khaki). This palm-leaf necklace combines the exotic colour palette of India in a contemporary, vintage-style piece. It's very bold, but the colours would look amazing with any skin tone - which is suggest wearing it with a bright re, brown, or white strapless cocktail dress and sculptural heels, for an "east meets west" style that will compliment almost every body type and aesthetic of dress.

    Awards Special: The Grammy's

    My favourites:
1.) Gwyneth Paltrow, in Versace - Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I'm already attempting to recreate a similar look for my next night out ;)
2.) Taylor Swift, in Kaufman Franco - I haven't yet seen a picture of the back, but I'm sure it's divine!
3.) Jennifer Nettles (with Kristian Bush), in Rachel Roy - Just the right amount of volume and detail for a mini dress.
4.) Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas (a.k.a. The Jonas Brothers), in Burberry and Versace, respectively - Some say they look like twins, but at least they keep things interesting. I appreciate that each of them puts their own unique spin on things.

    My LEAST favourites:
5.) M.I.A., in Manish Arora - Performing on her due date? Commendable, and a stellar performance to boot. This outfit? Not so much.
6.) Jennifer Hudson, in RM by Roland Mouret - Why so stiff looking Jen? I miss the Dreamgirl days with the vibrant dresses and curve-hugging silhouettes. Lovely performance though :)
7.) Paris Hilton, in Vintage Versace - After wondering aloud why Paris Hilton was at the Grammy's (surely her debut album hadn't garnered an award), I noticed that the bottom-half of her dress was mysteriously missing...
8.) Paula Abdul, in Basil Soda - No words can describe.

    Celeb Stalk

    Today's theme is QUILTED BAGS!

We all know and love the classic 2.55 Chanel Purse and/or Marc Jacob's "Stam" bag, but here are a few other less popular bags that you may not have noticed, but might like just as much. These celebs have already fallen in love with theirs!

1.) Again, beginning with Keira Knightley, who wore head-to-toe Chanel, including a black Chanel purse, to the Chanel Couture show. Seen here with Karl Lagerfeld, Keira sure looks happy to be one of the designer's muses - the perks are good!

2.) Marion Cotillard, often staying off the fashion radar until awards season, looked elegantly french (as only the french can) at the Dior show in Paris. Unlike the oversized totes we're so used to seeing around L.A., the tiny black Dior purse is a nice change of pace.

3.) Accompanied by an unknown companion, Nicky Hilton dresses up her casual black, grey and white outfit with (what else?) a quilted Chanel purse.

4.) Judging by the trio of pictures, Rachel Bilson:
a.) Loves her black and tan Chanel purse
b.) Has used this bag at least 3 times
    c.) All of the above!
If you guessed c.): Congrats! Sorry you don't win anything :/

5.) While other new mothers are out running errands in orthopedic sneakers and oversized t-shirts, Nicole Richie sticks to her celebrity roots and chooses instead to accessorize her black and white striped tee with black skinny jeans and a black quilted bag.

6.) Mischa Barton accessorized her peculiar, slightly over-styled outfit with a shining beacon of hope: a black patent-leather Lady Dior handbag.

7.) If it weren't for the bright-pink, quilted designer bag and slew of papparazzi following her journey through customs, Sienna Miller would've blended right in at the airport!

Please comment on what you think of this new post, so I can know what your reactions are to it, and how it can/should be changed! Thanks :)
